Creamy Garlic Steak Alfredo

Ingredients:

  • For the Steak:
    • 1 pound steak (ribeye, sirloin, or your favorite cut)
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • For the Alfredo Sauce:
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 4 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 cup heavy cream
    • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • For the Pasta:
    • 12 ounces fettuccine or your preferred pasta
    • Salt, for the pasta water
  • Garnish:
    • Fresh parsley, chopped
    • Extra Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Pasta:
    1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
    2. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
    3. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.
  2. Cook the Steak:
    1. Season the steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
    2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    3. Add the steak to the skillet and cook to your desired doneness (about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, depending on thickness).
    4. During the last minute of cooking, add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant.
    5. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Then, slice it into strips.
  3. Make the Alfredo Sauce:
    1. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
    2. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, but not browned.
    3. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine.
    4. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then reduce the heat to low.
    5. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
    6. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using).
  4. Combine the Pasta and Sauce:
    1. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
    2. Add the sliced steak to the skillet, gently tossing to combine with the pasta and sauce.
  5. Serve:
    1. Divide the creamy garlic steak Alfredo among plates.
    2. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and extra Parmesan cheese.
    3. Serve immediately and enjoy!

This Creamy Garlic Steak Alfredo is rich, flavorful, and sure to be a hit with anyone who loves a good pasta dish with steak. Enjoy your meal!
