Garlic and Butter Flatbread ☺️

Ingredients:

  • 350g all-purpose flour
  • 250g yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 30g butter

Preparation:

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    • Sift the flour into a large mixing bowl.
    • Create a well in the center of the flour and add the yogurt, baking powder, and salt.
    • Gradually mix the ingredients together, incorporating the flour from the sides until you form a smooth dough.
  2. Form the Balls:
    • Knead the dough until it’s soft and pliable.
    • Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a ball.
    • Let the dough balls rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Roll Out the Dough:
    • Roll each ball into a thin disk using a rolling pin.
    • Stack the rolled-out flatbreads, placing a sheet of baking paper between each to prevent sticking.
  4. Cook the Flatbreads:
    • Heat a pan over medium-high heat (around level 7-8 out of 9).
    • Lightly oil the pan and cook each flatbread for about 1 minute on each side until golden and slightly puffed.
  5. Garlic and Butter:
    • Melt the butter in a small pan.
    • Once the flatbreads are cooked, brush them generously with the melted butter.
    • Rub each flatbread with sliced garlic cloves, or if preferred, sprinkle finely chopped garlic over the hot flatbreads.
  6. Serve:
    • Serve immediately to enjoy the best texture and flavor, as the flatbreads can harden once cooled.

This recipe is simple, quick, and a sure way to fill your kitchen with the irresistible aroma of garlic and butter. Enjoy your culinary adventure!
